Sandro Gigauri has extensive professional experience in disinformation analysis, fact-checking, media literacy, and media development.

 

He previously worked as a senior researcher and editor at the Media Development Foundation (MDF) and its fact-checking platform Myth Detector, focusing on monitoring disinformation and propaganda narratives in Georgia and the wider Eastern Partnership region. He also served as a Media Safety and Support Officer with the Georgian Media Program implemented by IREX, supporting media organisations through capacity-building activities. Sandro has teaching experience as an invited lecturer at Ilia State University in Tbilisi.
