Folke Kayser is a consultant in the Advocacy, Research and Public Affairs Unit at DW Akademie, Germany's leading organization for international media development. Her work focuses on democratic governance, human rights, and strengthening resilient information ecosystems through media development, civic participation, and evidence-based public discourse.

With more than 20 years of experience in international development, she has worked on democracy, human rights, and governance programs across Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Before joining DW Akademie in 2019, she held positions with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FES), the International Labour Organization (ILO), the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), and the German Institute for Human Rights.

She holds a degree in Political Science and additional qualifications in development policy, evaluation, and systemic organizational consulting.
