About the event

Workshop: Deconstructing Russian Disinformation Campaign "Doppelgänger”

by Max Bernhard, Correctiv

This workshop will detail how CORRECTIV investigated the digital infrastructure used by the Russian disinformation campaign Doppelgänger. Using relevant examples, participants will learn how to use open-source tools and databases to trace data traffic and uncover the companies and server locations used by influence and disinformation operations. We will also take a look at how Doppelgänger's infrastructure overlaps with that of cyber-criminals and pro-Russian hacktivist groups. The session will also include some practical exercises.
