Participants will learn how to leverage SynthID—digital watermarking technology that embeds imperceptible signals directly into AI-generated text, images, video, and audio as well as the latest verification features built into Google Search, Chrome, and the Gemini app. The session will also cover Backstory, a collaborative tool developed with trusted testers to make image context and detection tools faster and more reliable, and C2PA Content Credentials, the open standard for tracking content origin from camera capture to social media publication.

 

By the end of this session, attendees will not only understand the science behind these tools but will also gain practical skills to immediately integrate them into their newsrooms' daily verification and fact-checking workflows.
