SafeBox Network - How to protect your high-risk investigations

All around the world, journalists are subjected to violent reprisal, prison sentences, and even murder in response to their investigative reporting and the uncomfortable truths they uncover. To prevent crimes against journalists before they happen, Forbidden Stories, an international network of investigative reporters, created the SafeBox Network.

The SafeBox Network is a unique mechanism that provides a digital and encrypted safe, allowing journalists and newsrooms to keep their sensitive documents safe, beyond the reach of

those who might try to silence them. If they are ever silenced, Forbidden Stories and its network of media partners will be able to continue their investigations and disseminate them

internationally.

By safeguarding their investigations through this mechanism, journalists make their information unstoppable: they show their potential attackers that they are backed by an international

community of journalists, and that attempts to silence them will only amplify their information on a global scale.
